Skydeck Chicago

For some amazing views of Chicago, you should explore the Willis Tower Skydeck, the tallest and one of the most famous buildings in Chicago. Formerly known the Sears Tower, you can step out on what is called ‘the Ledge’ that extends about four feet outside of the building from where you get excellent views of the Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. The Skydeck is opened 365 years a day so no matter what time of the year you visit Chicago, you should definitely come here to take some great photos.

Navy Pier Ferris Wheel

You can treat yourself to the iconic Chicago experience by riding the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel. Located on a large pier on Lake Michigan, you can enjoy the best views of the city from the Ferris Wheel that was recently revamped in 2016. The wheel is about 200 feet tall, and you will be taken for a ride in an enclosed, climate-controlled gondola. You will be not only able to enjoy the fantastic ride but also be able to take great photos of the Chicago skyline and the lake.

360 Chicago

If you want to get the best views of the Chicago skyline, you should head to the 94th floor of the John Hancock building and visit the 360 Chicago Observation Deck. There is no better place to get the best views of the Lake Point Tower, Aon Center and the Willis Tower. You will not only be able to take some great photos of the skyline, but you can also enjoy the thrill of the ‘Tilt’ and see Chicago from a completely different angle. Make sure to arrive early in the morning or late-evening to capture the sunrise or sunset over the Chicago buildings.

The Art Institute of Chicago

If you are in Chicago, you have to visit the famous Art Institute of Chicago. While you will enjoy some of the most mesmerizing art, you will also be able to enjoy some spectacular views of the city. Do not forget to visit the Modern Wing of the Institute for some excellent view of the Millennium Park. You can also visit the restaurant located on one of the top floors to enjoy the views city while having a delicious meal.

Some of the other places that you can explore to capture some great photos are the ROOF on theWit, a rooftop Lounge or from the Rush University Parking Garage. If you have the means, you can also opt for a helicopter ride to get an aerial view of the entire city.     Such wonderful photos of Chicago. It has been years since I have been there and am having a great time just browsing these photos. I’d love to visit the Navy Pier Ferris wheel wow that thing is huge. I’ve never been on one that tall!

    Wow! I’d love to take pictures from some of these spots in Chicago. I have a trip there coming up and will have to visit some of these places and see what kind of photographs I can capture. I think the Willis Tower Skydeck would be a good starting point.
